The textbook covers the basics of power industrial electronics. The main types of modern power semiconductor devices are considered: diodes, transistors, thyristors. The principles of building the main types of power semiconductor converters are outlined - controlled rectifiers, voltage regulators, frequency converters, filter-compensating devices. The main attention is paid to the use of semiconductor converters in electric drive technology and power supply systems. The textbook is intended for students of higher educational institutions studying in the field of bachelor's degree program 13.03.02 and master's degree program 13.04.02 'Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering'.
