This small book tells about the historical spiritual evolution of Russia in the 20th century and the beginning of our century. It contains articles, some of which were previously published in Russian periodicals, essentially a modification of the author's previous book "The Divine Nature of Power". The formula for governing our country in the last century was based on the "solemn" affirmation: - "The source of power in our country is the people!" However, we forget that the foundation of the thousand-year existence of Byzantium and the Russian Empire was laid on the motives of the Divine Presence, sanctifying state power. If the prodigal son wants to return to his parents, the servants of the evil one will whisper to him: - "Well, tell me, can one enter the same river twice?". They will whisper the same to the great people who wish to return to their Heavenly Father. The book explores the influence of state power on the history of Russia in many aspects of our lives, undoubtedly linked to the action of God's Providence. An attempt is made, based on facts from the Holy Scriptures, reliable literary and patristic sources, to reflect this connection. The book is intended for readers of various nationalities, different levels of education, ages, and professions.
