The book introduces the reader with psychological studies conducted in the 1930s by scientists of the Brain Institute, which grew out of the laboratory for the study of Lenin"s brain, created immediately after his death. In the 1920s, a collection of brains of outstanding people of the era began to collect: writers, muses of edges, party and government leaders ... and began to engage in the problem of genius. The work was strictly classified, and until now, information about the studies has almost surrendered to print. Archival finds allow to shed light on some aspects of the work of the Institute, in which not only doctors, biologists worked, but also psychologists who found out the circumstances of the life of the deceased genius and who made a detailed description of his creative personality: biography, habits, hobbies, temperament. The information was assembled on the basis of the archive of the deceased and surveys of his nearest environment. Research is written by a language understandable to everyone. In essence, these are the first biographies and memoirs.
