The book is dedicated to the typology of the contemporary literary process in Turkey. When describing the works of writers and analyzing the works at the turn of the 20th-21st centuries, when literature acquired a new role in society and began to focus mainly on the consumer, the author of the monograph uses the method of distinguishing literary segments: "high" literature (elite), "middle" literature (fiction), and "low" literature (mass) based on the addressee and the artistic merits of the work. The second part of the book is dedicated to the analysis of Turkish science fiction, a wide range of mass literature, which includes its own elite science fiction and fiction. The book is intended for literary scholars specializing in Turkic studies, specialists in Oriental studies, and those interested in the East.
