Nikolai Mikhailovich Karamzin (1766–1826) - great Russian writer, journalist, historiographer. His story “Poor Lisa” discovered the era of Russian sentimentalism and struck contemporaries with the openness of the expression of feelings and emotions. This is the first love story in Russian literature, which does not know the estate borders, the first psychological story. The love of Lisa and Erast ended tragically, but the readers of those times with amazement learned that and peasant women know how to love.
