The basics of classification and biology of fruit plants are considered, including methods of propagation and modern technologies for growing planting material. The issues of laying out a garden, pruning and shaping crowns, caring for trees and soil in the garden, as well as the formation and harvesting of crops are discussed. The features of intensive type orchard technology are highlighted. For the first time in a textbook on fruit growing, basic information on protecting fruit and berry plants from pests and diseases is provided. A separate chapter is devoted to less common promising crops. Some of the material is presented in the form of the most frequently asked practical questions by students and fruit producers, along with answers to them.
