The second book of Tom "Ivan Mikhailovich Maisky. Selected correspondence with Russian correspondents" covers the 40-year period of his life (1935-1975), including the take-off of the diplomatic career-eleven years of work by the Embassy (later Ambassador) of the USSR in the UK (1932-1943) and three years in the rank of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR (July 1943 - January 1947), as well as fruitful scientific and organizational activities as a real member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1946-1975).
The gloomy period of his life - arrest, repression and imprisonment (February 1953 - June 1955) - did not find direct reflection in correspondence. A large place in Tom is occupied by letters of the 60-70s dedicated to the main case of recent years-writing memoirs.
compilers: Boyko N.V., Voskresensky A.D., Staroverova I.P., Karolskaya E.V
