Since 2014, the Pitirim Sorokin (Syktyvkar) center, with the support of the Government of the Komi Republic, has issued collected works by Pitirim Sorokin. This volume is a stereotypical publication of a book issued by the Center "Heritage".
In the present volume of the works of the world-famous sociologist P. Sorokin (1889-1968), three popular science books written in 1919-1923 were included: “Elementary textbook of the general theory of law in connection with the doctrine of the state”, “ Generally accessible textbook of sociology ”and“ Popular essays of social pedagogy and politics ”. Almost a hundred years have passed since their first edition, however, they have not lost their relevance and scientific and pedagogical potential. In addition, in combination, they are the first sketch of a grand sociological system created by P. Sorokin in the next decades. “Popular essays of social pedagogy and politicians” in Russia are published for the first time.
The publication will be useful to those who are just starting to study law, sociology and social pedagogy, and those who are interested in the life and work of P. Sorokin
