This book is a documentary, archival-historical chronicle about the Soviet-Japanese meeting in Moscow on October 7–10, 1973. For the first time, the public negotiations of Soviet leaders with Japanese Prime Minister K. Tanaka, who are stored in the Federal Archive of Rgani, are presented to the publication of the public. The introductory article tells in detail about the preparation of the meeting and the role of the “territorial question” in its drama. The result of the Kuril agenda of the negotiations was summed up by Prime Minister A.N. Kosygin: “You have returned to this issue ten times and each time you received a certain answer. For the eleventh time, the answer will be the same. So it’s better not to return to this issue. ” The book is designed for all those interested in the latest history of Russia and Japan
