The textbook is developed on the basis of fundamental domestic and foreign exercises about the history and current state of the methodology of legal science. The manual in a brief and affordable form sets out the main historical stages of development of the methodology of law, pays attention to the evolution of the methods of cognition in basic law schools (us outnathanism, legal positivism, Marxism, the psychological theory of law, the historical school of lawyers, and the sociological theory of law).
The manuals are thoroughly described as general scientific methods of studying legal reality (dialectics, analysis and synthesis, deduction and induction, system-structural and structural-functional methods), as well as special-legal scientific methods (historical-law, formal-legalist , comparative legal, critical-legal).
The book contains a didactic section aimed at forming students of professional competencies of a lawyer capable of carrying out both research and expert consulting work. The methodology for conducting scientific and practical research and writing academic works, including the master"s dissertation for jurisprudence, is detailed in detail.
