The book talks about the almost two hundred years of the history of the Greeks-Frakians in the Crimea. Fleeing from Turkish oppression, in 1830, on the Russian ship, Saint Nicholas, 40 Greek families arrived on the Crimean land in the hope of finding a new homeland here. Huge trials fell by the will of fate, and the worst of them is eviction from Crimea in 1944. The Karachol Greek community is unique: despite the experienced, it not only survived, but also retained its native language, rites and traditions, house -building, its faith. The temple, the holy source, the ethnographic museum in the Chernoplee became the center of spiritual attraction for many generations of Crimean Greeks, a source of strength and moral fortress of the people.
