The textbook discusses the main features of the resumption of generations and migrations at different stages of history, starting with the most ancient prenolithic populations, a historical revolution in the reproduction of the population associated with the Neolithic revolution, the features of the reproduction of the population and migrations in post -olitical agrarian societies, including processing Europe. Particular attention is paid to the modern demographic revolution, the formation of a modern type of reproduction of the population, its characteristic features, social, economic, cultural, political consequences.
The purpose of the lecture course is to develop a conceptual vision of demographic development as a historical process, to contribute to the formation of their demographic worldview. The peculiarity of the course lies in the parallel presentation of the main facts of demographic history and theoretical concepts that explain the laws of demographic processes in different historical periods.
The course of lectures is primarily addressed to students studying demography and history, but can also be used in the teaching of economic, sociological and political science disciplines
