The book presents various points of view on the phenomenon of the pandemic, the emergence of which entailed a change in the basic metaphors of the description of modern society, and actualized non -liberal attitudes in philosophical anthropology. Pandemia mobilizes the symbolic, existential and biological immune systems of a person.
Given the experience of the fight against the new virus, the author used the concepts of virology and immunology in relation to the development of culture and society, placed new accents on the relations of his and alien, individual and social, natural and cultural, expected and unexpected. Such concepts as “living and non -living”, “man and animal”, on the one hand, are “positive”, that is, due to objective, natural laws and facts, and on the other, they are loaded with symbolic content, which, in turn, turns out to be It is quite heterogeneous and includes, in addition to theories, value attitudes, traditions and norms of culture. The proposed program can be called cultural or political immunology, since the concept of political in the proposed work goes beyond political science and is determined in the aspect of “big policy” aimed at developing culture. The analytics of the biological, socio-historical and cultural and symbolic contexts of discussions about the nature of the Covid-19 allowed us to conclude that cultures and society, like organisms, are not closed, they learn external products due to the presence of various kinds of membranes and filters. For development, they need injections of another and even a stranger who, in the presence of effective immune systems, contribute not to destruction, but to strengthen their health.
