Latin American modernism is a literary course that existed in the Spanish-speaking countries of the New World in the last twentieth century XIX-first twentieth anniversary of the 20th century. In the second half of the XIX century, poetry in Latin America experienced a crisis, the tone in it was asked epigions of romanticism, which has long been exiting European literature. Modernists introduced new forms, rhythms, topics into Hispanic poetry. Passionate adherents of beauty, they managed to combine the word with music and painting. And became the first of the writers of Latin America, whose creativity received worldwide fame.
Nicaraguan Ruben Dario became the generally accepted leader of the Latin American Modernism. He managed to unite the young poets of different countries in the creative community. This has been extremely beneficial to the further development of every national literature of the Latin American continent. Modernists were largely literary teachers and Borges, Cortasar, and Garcia Marquez.
