Boris Slutsky's poetic fate turned out to be difficult, the long post-war period, and the war became a watershed in the poet's biography, he was unpublished. The first book was only published in 1957, and the majority of his poems were found only after the poet's death. And yet, Alexander Mezhirov called Boris Slutsky the only major poet of his time. Evgeny Yevtushenko, Oleg Chukhontsev, Evgeny Rein considered him a great poet, and Joseph Brodsky started writing poetry after reading Slutsky.
