In the new book of the poet and Esseist, Andrei Gritsmana collected essays and short prose, interviews and reviews published over the past ten years in leading Russian and foreign magazines. The author reflects on the problems of the writer"s creativity in the diaspora, out of constant contact with the native language and native culture. Modern media significantly changed the position of the author who lives outside of Russia, and to some extent united the Russian literature, blurring the borders of the culture of the Metropolis and Emigrant. Significantly attention in the book is given to "American" Russian poets, this is both the famous names - Brodsky, Mezhirov, Zagodnko, and young, but already noticeable voices.
