Ivan Savvich Nikitin (1824 – 1861) was a well-known self-taught Russian poet of the 19th century, a master of the Russian poetic landscape, and a bookseller. As a poet from the common people, he wrote extensively about the hardships of simple people: peasants, tailors, blacksmiths. His poems are so vivid and melodic that over the years, more than sixty romances and folk songs have been written based on them. This collection includes all of his most famous works, which consistently teach to appreciate nature, love the homeland, and be responsive to the needs of people. For elementary school age.
