Vladislav Khodasevich is a witty critic and an incomparable poet, one of the most significant Russian poets of the 20th century and a central figure of the first wave of Russian emigration. The book includes the best poems by Khodasevich, in each of which the author managed to express the most elusive human emotions. These verses are written with the help of the heart and mind, which were able to come to an agreement on unity, rather than competition for the right to be first.
The edition is accompanied by a detailed foreword by literary historian Valery Shubinsky, as well as articles and essays by Vladislav Khodasevich himself, famous, among other things, as a thoughtful critic.
