Alexey Vasilyevich Koltsov (1809-1842) - a distinctive Russian poet from a common medium. It became famous for verses about the village life, about the joy of labor and communicating with nature ("not shumi you, rye ...", "Song of Pahar", "kosar", "young jince", "rural pirushi", etc) The poem "Forest" (1837) is devoted to the memory of A.S. Pushkin. Koltsov"s verses wrote the music of Glinka and Varlamov, Dargomyzhsky and Gurilev, Roman Korsakov and Musorgsky, Balakirev and Rubinstein, Rachmaninov and glazes. This collection presents poems in chronological order written by him in 1826-1842
