Osip Mandelstam is one of the largest Russian poets of the twentieth century, an essayist, translator, literary critic. His tragic fate was a reflection of catastrophic events in the history of Russia. From student studies and the first publications of the 1910s, Mandelstam went to the true heyday of the poetic gift in the 1930s, but it was at this time that he was not able to print, being in the position of the outcast. Anna Akhmatova called Mandelstam "a rare poet, who, during the years of Voronezh exile, continued to write things of inexperienced beauty and power. Mandelstam"s heritage was re -opened in his homeland only at the end of the twentieth century, his name became a symbol of not only creative skill, but also a huge moral power
