Yuri Polikarpovich Kuznetsov (1941 - 2003) was a Russian poet, translator, literary critic, editor, educator, and professor at the Literary Institute, as well as a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR. His poetic language, sense of the tragic division of the modern world, and vivid perception of Russian culture and national character sparked many debates and genuine interest among a wide range of readers. In his extensive works, issues of good and evil, mythology and reality, war and peace, love and faith collide. He was awarded the State Prize of the RSFSR in literature, the Order of Honor, and other honors. Suitable for older high school students.
