Fedor Mikhailovich Reshetnikov (1841–1871) occupies a special position in Russian literature, which confirms the review of Turgenev, admiring the sober truth of his works. In a letter to Nekrasov, Reshetnikov said about his “sublibs”: “I decided to write a Burlat life with the aim of at least some poor workers. In my opinion, writing all this is different-means to speak against conscience, write a lie. Our literature should tell the truth ... ”Published in“ Contemporary ”in 1864, the“ sublibs ”immediately brought Reshetnikov widely fame. Without any embellishment, the writer outlined the life of the clogged, semi-wild people of the north-east of European Russia in the middle of the 19th century. In another story - “Between people” - Reshetnikov united previously published autobiographical stories, adding the subtitle “Notes of the Chancellers”. The author himself formulated the main idea of the story as follows: “... I wrote not from anger, but to show how people in the province develop during cracked education ...” One of the best works of Reshetnikov - “Nikola Znamensky” completes the collection. An obstacle to the printing of the story for several years was its anti -church orientation. Even in infancy, the Reshetnikov for the fault was exiled to repent to the Solikamsk male monastery. “In one week,” he wrote in his diaries, “I knew the wickedness of the monks, how they drink wine, swear, eat beef, walk at night, break the gates ... And if I write badly, my thought is irrevocable, everywhere dry and bitter, bitter, everywhere, everywhere. Then let everyone who wants to judge these scriptures understand me and my life. ”
