Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900–1944) was a writer, poet, essayist, and professional aviator. His biography is full of incredible events and adventures, as his main occupation was related to aviation. The literary legacy of the writer is not large in volume, but he is known worldwide as the author of poignant essays and the famous 'The Little Prince'. The book 'Wind, Sand and Stars' is a collection of short biographical and poetic essays dedicated to the adventures of the author and his comrade - aviation pioneer Henri Guillaumet, as well as Saint-Exupéry's reflections on life and the destiny of man.
