Pirouet is a graphic memoirs of a 22-year-old American comic book artist, a former professional skater Tilly Walden. From early childhood, she was engaged in figure skating, but exhausting regime, mockery at school, difficulties in communicating with parents and the difficulties of sexual self-determination forced a 15-year-old teenager to dare to radically change.
In 2018, Pirouet was awarded the Will Icener award, which allowed Tilly to become the youngest owner of this prestigious award. Pirouet is primarily a teenage comic. Let the marking “18+” not mislead you, with which the book will be published: it is assigned only because the theme of LGBT references rises in the comic book
