This book is the first most complete description of the life and activities of the heads of the gas-dynamic laboratory and the reactive research institute N.I.Tikhomirov, B.S. Petropavlovsky, N.I.Ilina, I.T. Kleimenova and G.E. Langmeak, standing at the origins of the Soviet reactive weapons.
Almost completely, the book is based on never previously published archival documents, many of which are first introduced into scientific turns.
At the end of the book, documents confirming the true role of the Lzhavtor "Katyusha" by A.G. Poroskov, which he actually played in the history of the creation of reactive weapons. Until recently, the immenitive evaluation of the events of those years leads to numerous distortions and attributing the authorship of the Terrible Weapons of World War II, who did not have any relation to him. Because of this, so far the merit of G.E. Langmeak, B.S. Petropavlovsky, N.I.Tikhomirov, I.T. Kleimenova and N.I.Ilina deliberately implicit or generally silent. The author tried to restore the truth.
