The author and compiler of this book invites the reader in his notes to embark on a journey - a pilgrimage, a journey of reflection, a journey of understanding and contemplation of both the quarter-century revival of Orthodoxy in Russia and the personal accompaniment of each of us in this process in everyday circumstances and vicissitudes... It is a pilgrimage to Orthodox Moscow as the center, the stronghold of today's Universal Church, and at the same time - to the depths of the heart, to the Kingdom of God, which must be revealed 'within' us... The author believes that the words of the recently deceased Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh can serve as the tuning fork of the narrative: 'The Church has a glorious aspect and a tragic aspect. The poor aspect of the Church is each of us... We are already in the Church and we are still on the way to it...' Approved by the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church.
