Yuliya Lavryashina is the author of over 50 books of prose for adults and children, as well as several plays and screenplays. She is a member of the Writers' Union of Russia and a laureate of the International Children's Literature Award named after V.P. Krapivin. Together with her son, the young composer Evgeniy Lavryashin, she writes songs and musicals. The distinctive features of her prose are a tense plot and psychological depth.
