The album "Picturesque image of the morals ..." The English artist J.O. Atkinson is an important fine source in which Russian everyday life is recreated in all its originality with its life, cares, entertainments, means of movement, folk clothes and rites. It can be attributed to the genre of artistic report on the country, in the album the type of lecture-trial sketches in the form of scenes from folk life prevail.
