The dictionary contains over one thousand four hundred terms. The vast majority of them are found in various sections of the physics course in secondary and higher schools: mechanics, molecular physics and thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, geometric, wave and quantum optics, atomic and nuclear physics, and elementary particle physics. The dictionary includes definitions of several dozen terms from psychology, logic, linguistics, knowledge of which is necessary for students to understand the material studied in the physics course. For physical phenomena, models, physical quantities, and units of physical quantities with their own names, complete definitions are provided, constructed according to uniform schemes. The dictionary is compiled on an alphabetical principle and is supplemented with illustrations. It is intended for schoolchildren, applicants, students of secondary specialized and higher educational institutions, as well as teachers, textbook authors, and parents who strive to help their children learn. 2nd revised and expanded edition.
