The physico-chemical bases of the processes underlying the separation of foam on the initial phases under the influence of physical and mechanical factors and various physical fields, including acoustic, electrical and thermal. Much attention is paid to the capillary properties of foam, hydromechanical processes of the flow and destruction of foam in the canals and in the vicinity of solid surfaces. Based on the proposed classification of mechanical defoamers, issues of modeling and calculating the processes of separation and destruction of foam in static and dynamic defoamers are considered in detail. Taking into account the proposed models, the techniques and examples of the calculation of mechanical defoamers of various types are given, analyzes their work and a technical and economic evaluation.
The mechanisms of acoustic, electrical and thermal effects on the foam structure are considered, a consolidated assessment of their effectiveness is given.
Much attention is paid to the consideration of the structures of physicomechanical foaming and the application of various methods and devices for mechanical and physical foaming in technological processes.
A book may be of interest to specialists from various industries: oil-producing, mining, chemical, food, chemical-pharmaceutical, construction, for students of universities of various preparation areas. Materials of the book can be applied in the design of technological processes and equipment where gas-liquid systems are used
