Heidegger criticism of modern technology and its connection with metaphysics found a susceptible audience in the East. However, the concept, according to which there is only one - the original Greek - the type of technology, has become an obstacle to any original critical understanding of the technology in modern Chinese thought. YUK Hui announces the urgent need to imagine a specifically Chinese philosophy of technology that can respond to Heidegger’s call, at the same time problematizing the statement of technology and technology as anthropologically universal.
This is a study of the historical and metaphysical question of technology, based on the ideas of Jean-Franesu Lyotar, Gilbert Simondon and Bernard Stigler and representing the history of modern oriental philosophical thought (including such figures as Feng Yulan, MOU Zunsan and Caeii Nisitani), in A significant degree unknown to Russian readers, sheds new light to the question about technology in China. Why did the technique never be themed in Chinese thought? Why was time never a real issue for Chinese philosophy? How was the traditional concept of qi transformed in relation to Tao as China has accepted technological modernity and westernization?
On the question of technology in China ", a systematic historical review of the basic concepts of traditional Chinese thought is accompanied by an original study of these problems and leads to the question: how can Chinese think today contribute to a critical reassessment of globalized technology from cosmotechnical positions?
