The album presents paintings and drawings from the collection of abbot Rafail (Simakova), which in the late seventies last century were exhibited in Moscow, at Malaya Georgian. People sought to get to the exhibition in order to get a sip of air of freedom in stagnant Brezhnev times, and stood in line for 6 hours, surprising by their stubbornness of the KGB. Anatoly Zverev, Sergey Sharov, Sergey Simakov, Anatoly Lepin, Nata Konysheva, Vasily Shevchenko represent the underground of the era of general socialist realism, and give direction to young artists today.
