This is the first work of the prominent German philosopher Deter Henrich (b. 1927), translated into Russian. Henrich is known in Europe and the USA primarily as an original researcher and interpreter of classical German philosophy. The cycle of lectures, given by the author in 2003-2006 and then finalized in this book, is an attempt to state his own philosophical concept - an impressive version of the philosophy of the subject, or the theory of subjectivity, as Henrich is still expressed. The Cartesian "I think, therefore, the existing “is unfolding here in the phenomenological and existential analyzes, psychoanalysis and analytical philosophy, enriched in the twentieth century (although under the pressure of the same currents the philosophy of the subject turned out to be in the past century on the periphery of philosophical interests) Research tension of the presentation, the diversity and scrupulousness of argumentation, access to the most important parameters of personal existence and the centuries -old, "last" metaphysical issues, make D. Henrich the work of an extraordinary phenomenon.
