Arthur Schopenhauer is one of the most famous thinkers of irrationalism. Schopenhauer"s views and research influenced many famous philosophers. In his works, the thinker is pessimistic analyzes human being and from the same position considers the opinions of his famous predecessors. The philosopher believed that compassion arises from selfishness and can serve as an opportunity to go beyond the limits of desire and will. Schopenhauer categorically rejected the existence of "freedom of will", believed that the will could be released or rejected, but could not be changed.
