The problem of integrity in philosophy and biology

The world around us is not individual objects and phenomena isolated from each other, but by the totality of interconnected and interacting objects, a certain kind of holistic formations. In accordance with this, the philosophy and natural science are faced with important tasks - to explore these sets, integrity both in themselves and in their connection with other aggregates, classify them, find their similarities and differences, reveal the internal dialectics of their functioning, their interaction with the conditions external environment, etc.
Consideration of the whole and parts as categories of dialectical materialism, the study of their dialectics in the objective world and knowledge, and make up the subject of this book. It consists of two sections. The first of them considers the philosophical aspect of the problem of integrity, the second section is devoted to the study of the problem of integrity in biology. It is in living nature that the objective dialectic of the whole and parts finds a particularly bright, distinct manifestation.
