The four chapters and two applications of this book described for the first time sustainable patterns of thinking (the relationship of part and the whole, their opposition and association) in the theory and practice of Maqam art as oral-professional musical tradition, preserved in the Hebrew, Persian, Arabic and languages of the Turkic group.
Commented translation and study of the treatise on the music of Fakhr ad-Din Razi (XII-XIII centuries), as well as the first edition of the Russian translation of the treatise on the music of the Anonymous XIV century ("Muhammad Nishapuri") are subordinated to solving the problems of the ontology of music and the methodology of historical knowledge, taking into account the difference between the procedures of meaning in the studied traditions.
The publication is intended for a wide range of specialists and university students
