The new book of I.P. Smirnov is an attempt to lay the foundations of neo -eagleism, contrasting with the biodetermanist models of human activity anthropology, in the center of which is a muscle intensity. Intelligence is understood by the author as a device for the production of replacements creating the alien world of socioculture. In his creative impulse, our mind is deputy and in relation to ourselves, doubled in ideas about our own. The book raises questions about how the double mind works and how it embodies itself in semantic and value plans, in myth and history, in hypothetical knowledge, in the mimesis that dominates being, in philosophical and picturesque images of the universe, in deception, in the design of artificial intelligence
