The magical treasure of dreams

The book publishes the first scientific translation from Sanskrit into Russian of the treatise of Swapnachintamani, one of the most complete and well -known Sanskrit texts about dreams compiled by Dzhagadvedeva, who lived in the second half of the XII - early XIII century. This composition reflects the traditional views of the Indians on the nature of sleep, the connection of dreams with the events of everyday life, it also widely used old Sanskrit sources. The translation was completed by A. Ya. Syrkin, a well -known Russian scientist, professor of Jerusalem University, in the translations of which the Panchantra, the Upanishads, Kamasutra, Gitagovinda and other monuments of ancient and medieval Indian literature were previously published. He also owns the introductory article and commentary.
