The book analyzes the current state of philosophical, logical and methodological studies of evaluative and normative reasoning. Particular attention is paid to the role of assessments and norms in human activity, ideas about the structure of assessments and norms and their mutual relations, the question of the truth of assessments and norms, the urgent methodological problems of "normative sciences" (ethics, aesthetics, law, art history, etc), methods entering assessments and norms into science and other areas of culture. Important improvements of the first logic of absolute assessments built by the author in 1968 and the time has already passed the tests are described. A new logical theory of comparative assessments is presented, using the scale "better - equivalent - worse." It is shown that regulatory statements can be reduced to absolute estimates using the scale "good - indifferent - bad." New areas of practical application of the results of the logic of assessments and deontical (normative) logic, prospects for further philosophical and logical studies of assessments and norms are planned.
The book is designed for a wide range of readers, primarily for representatives of social and humanities: lawyers, philosophers, sociologists, economists, political scientists, linguists, art historians, etc
