The legacy of Alexander Veselovsky is in the world context. Research and materials

The collection is based on materials from an international scientific conference held on October 24-25, 2016 at the Institute of World Literature named after A.M. Gorky Russian Academy of Sciences (IMLI RAS) on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the death of academician A.N. Veselovsky (1838-1906).
The book consists of four sections. The first section is a biographical essay. In the second section, articles are placed in which the ideas of A.N. Veselovsky in the context of modern philological science. The third section reflects the receptions of A.N. Veselovsky in the twentieth century. In the fourth - some aspects of his heritage and folklore problems.
Among the authors of the collection are employees of academic institutes and universities.
The book is addressed to literary scholars, historians, folklorists, ethnographers, culturalists, it will be useful for students and teachers of humanitarian higher educational institutions, as well as for everyone who is interested in the history of science and culture
