The monograph is a study of the poetic concept of M.O. Gershenzon with the involvement of her most important semantic dominant - "connection of oblivion with memory". The study contains a wide context of the development of science (including natural scientific knowledge) and the culture of the turn of the XIX - XX centuries. Most of the works devoted to the topic of oblivion and memory in connection with the dialogue of M.O. Gershenzon and Vyach. Ivanova, focused only on the text "correspondence from two angles" excluding the most important works of M.O. Gershenzono, as well as polemic Vyach. Ivanova, N.A. Berdyaeva, M.O. Gershenzno, L.
