The book "Sunset of Europe" is the main and most famous essay of O. Spengler - a German thinker who, back in 1923, predicted the association of Europe, which categorically refused to recognize the West as a center of world history, moreover, denied the very concept of a single history of mankind. Spengler put forward the concept of the types of human culture, which, like living organisms, pass certain phases of development and eventually die, transforming into fruitless mechanical civilization. The researcher identified eight main cultures-Egyptian, Indian, Babylonian, Chinese, "Apollonian" (Greco-Roman), "magical" (Byzantine-Arabic), "Faust (Western European) and Mayan culture-and predicted the birth of Russian-Siberian culture.
