This edition presents Treatises of Niccolo Machiavelli (1469-1527), forming a single body of texts united by general political problems. The central place among them is occupied by the famous Treaty of Machiavelli "Sovereign" and voluminous "discussions about the first decade of Titus Libya" - essays, in which the political doctrine and philosophy of the history of Machiavelli were reflected.
The author of the preface to the book - the director of the legendary publishing house "Academia" Lev Borisovich Kamenev - prepared it for the first volume of the works of Machiavelli, which was published in 1934. This publication was based on this book.
The fundamental article on the life and work of the Italian thinker, belonging to the Peru -Outstanding Russian Historian and the Expert of the Renaissance of Alexei Karpovich Givelegov, who compiled notes to the texts of Machiavelli, completes the book.
