Bertrand"s book of Russell"s Selected Work. The texts presented in this collection relate to the most fruitful period for Bertrane - the first two decades of the 20th century.
In the genre they are different. The work of “Problems of philosophy” (1912) is written in the genre of popular introduction and is intended, first of all, for those who want to independently familiarize themselves with the content of philosophical problems (at many Universities of Great Britain, the book is recommended as a basic textbook for studying philosophy) However, the “problems of philosophy” are not at all a listing of common places - more likely, we can talk about the popular presentation of the philosophy of Russell himself. “The Philosophy of Logical Atomism” (1918) is a course of lectures, given by a reservoir for the general public. Despite the fact that in the preface the author pays tribute to L. Wittgenstein, who initiated a number of ideas contained in the lectures, in this work the views of Russell himself on logic, ontology and epistemology are relief. In the classic articles “On the Designation” and “On Propures”, Russell considers specific problems and offers their original solutions
