As a scientist, who uses the method of historical materialism, the author of the book “Science against idealism”, considering the history of the development of philosophical thought in England over the past two centuries, traces the connection between such a distant ideological superstructure, which is a philosophy, and the practical relations of people, the development of industry and the development of industry and the development of industry and the development of industry natural science. The author makes an attempt to connect the contradictions that arise during the development of science and philosophy, with the course of the class struggle, with the real, life contradictions of bourgeois society. The author concludes that the problems that modern practice should resolve are from the egregious contradiction between the huge new manufacturing forces at the disposal of society, and the obvious inability of the bourgeois governments and the entire capitalist system to put these productive forces in the service of the working humanity
