Vladimir Kantor, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Head of the International Research of the Russian-European Intellectual Dialogue of the National Research University Higher School of Economics (NIU-INSHE), elects the theme of his study the conjugation of literature with philosophy. In the opinion of the author, there was not a single great literary work that would not be in a tense field of philosophical ideas. Outside of this context, real literature is incomprehensible. Already Plato"s dialogs were both philosophy and wonderful literature. According to Dostoevsky, a thought must be felt. But for this there should be a thought in the work, there must be a philosophical context. The task of the researcher is to be able to see and inform the reader what can be done the only way - to give an analysis of philosophical meanings in the great works of world literature. The book discusses the texts of Pushkin, Bunin, Chekhov, Dostoevsky, Chernyshevsky, Stepun, Vaidle, Khodasevich, Pasternak, L. Shestov, Nietzsche, c. Cormerum and other literature masters in the philosophical context of their time. The second part is the responses to the books of modern writers, mostly close to the author in position and life
