The authors of the book are trying to comprehend the phenomenon of relativism, which has become widespread in modern culture - both in knowledge and in social life. The book makes an attempt to identify the foundations of relativism and at the same time show its failure as a general philosophical position and its inferiority in practice. Relativistic trends in modern epistemology and philosophy of science, as well as in the sciences of man: psychology, culturology, historical science, are specially investigated. At the same time, the authors distinguish between relativism and skepticism, as well as pluralism and relativism: it is shown that pluralism can be fruitfully practiced just if it is understood in an anti -art -justivist way. According to a number of issues discussed in the book, the authors occupy different positions
