This book considers one of the most difficult theological and philosophical problems: the existence of evil and imperfection in the world. Human dreams of justice and gaining the meaning of life in all historical times were expressed in the desire to understand and correctly assess the inevitable presence of evil in the surrounding reality. Where did the evil penetrate the existing or any of the birth of being? What is evil, what is its nature, what is its philosophical or theological definition? By answering these questions, one can more clearly understand where the generic origins of evil are, and where evil is just an accidental disaster and, finally, whether it has a real, or only pronounced existence. In the study of the nature of evil, the author turns to the Old Russian heritage. To clarify this issue, ancient Russian philosophical thought is interesting to its metaphysicality, which is detached from the variable being. In addition, a speculative, abstract component of Old Russian Theodica is not the main one in it. Old Russian philosophical culture gives an integral metaphysical picture of the world, preferred by experienced knowledge, where evil appears as a certain false meaning and distorted spiritual direction of being
