Confucius and Laozzi are the two most famous Chinese philosopher. They were contemporaries, lived in the VI - V centuries BC. e., but their philosophical views were very different. Confucius attached great importance to life rules, “pillars of wisdom” - a special ritual of behavior in society. The Confucius School over time reached the status of state ideology. The main concept in Laozza’s philosophy was “Tao”, which can be conventionally conveyed as “stream of life”, “great path” - this is an all -in -performance force, at the same time the means and the purpose of existence. According to Laozza, the presence in the society of strict regulatory ethical systems - for example, Confucianism - indicates that there are problems in it that such a system only enhances, being unable to resolve them. The book presents the main works of Confucius and Laozza, giving an idea of the views of two outstanding philosophers
