In the late XIX - early XX centuries. Mathematics has undergone an important change, moving away from the canons of a tool to describe reality to the conviction of the freedom of creation of mathematical objects, new methods of evidence and mathematical truths. The dominance of the axiomatic method and severity of the mathematical conclusion led to a new understanding of the foundations of mathematics, the logic of mathematical thinking and a complete revision of the traditional philosophy of mathematics. Interesting aspects of this paradigmed shift are presented in this book.
